The blades are activated with a similar handle action to normal loppers, via a steel rod running up through the middle of the tube, protecting it from snagging on branches. The advantage of this being the blade cuts from the top of the branch, unlike string pulled loppers that cut from the bottom up which can result in jamming.
The handle action and the lopper gearing enables the user to cut branches up to 40 mm without excessive effort.
The blade head is adjustable 110 degree horizontally helping to keep hands away from other obstacles. They the loppers can be turned to use vertically or horizontally.
Manufactured in lightweight aluminium and steel components.
Long reach loppers are available in the following lengths:
N-154 -- 1.5m long 1.45 kg
N-155 -- 2.0m long 1.60 kg
Note: Lakewood products previously sold these loppers (manufactured by Nishigaki) under the Topman brand.
